Log Mail Notification 1.3.5

Information - 22.08.2026

This update extends license validation with a regular check during operation, increases the trial license duration to 7 days, and now allows its use on Windows Server and in domain environments. Important dependencies have also been updated.

New features

  • Regular license check during operation: The license is no longer validated only at service start, but now also once daily during ongoing operation. License renewals or expirations are detected noticeably faster, without requiring a service restart.
  • Trial license extended to server and domain: The trial license can now also be used on Windows Server and in domain environments. It remains limited to a single device.

Improvements

  • Trial license duration extended: The trial license usage period has been increased from 3 to 7 days.
  • New trial license serial numbers: Trial licenses will now be issued with a new serial number prefix reflecting the extended 7-day duration. Already activated trial licenses are not affected.
  • Dependencies updated: Latest versions of important libraries for improved security and stability.

Technical changes

  • Main timer extended: The existing processing timer now also triggers the license check once daily.
  • Expiration handling unified: If an expired license is detected during operation, an email notification is sent first, just as at service start, before the service is shut down gracefully.

Important notes

  • Restart the service: After the update, restart the Log Mail Notification service once.
  • Temporary connectivity issues: If the license server is temporarily unreachable during the daily check, operation continues and the check is automatically retried the following day.
